Cycle-ball World Cup: RMC Stein and Hofen/Prechtal win in Prechtal

Michael Birkner and Robert Mlady went unbeaten through round six of the cycle-ball World Cup in Germany, while Judith Wolf and Danielle Holzer took the women's event.

Round six of the 2026 UCI Cycle-ball World Cup was held on 10 October at the Steinberghalle Prechtal in Elzach, Germany. Robert Mlady and Michael Birkner of RMC Stein won all five of their games, according to radball.at, and shut out the French pair Quentin and Mathias Seyfried of VCE Dorlisheim 5-0 in the final.

Stein topped their group with three wins, one of them 5-3 against Dorlisheim, before beating RKV Denkendorf 6-2 in the semi-finals. Dorlisheim reached the final with a 5-3 victory over RS Altdorf 2. Valentin Notheis and Felix Weinert secured third place for Denkendorf by defeating Altdorf's Fabian Hauri and Jon Müller 3-1. Yannick and Timon Fröhlich (RS Altdorf 1) finished fifth after a 7-2 win over RV Sulz 1, while hosts RVC Prechtal beat Italy 9-1 to take seventh.

For the women, it was the second of three World Cup rounds this season, with five teams meeting in a single round-robin group. Judith Wolf and Danielle Holzer of SG Hofen/Prechtal won all four group games, scoring 25 goals and conceding five, and then beat Sava Baumann and Chiara Dotoli of Swiss club RC Winterthur 4-1 in the final. Leonie Reinicke and Isabell Kaiser of Fraureuth/Langenleuba finished third with a 6-0 win over Arheilgen/Prechtal.

Winners collect 50 World Cup points and runners-up 45. The series moves on to Mosnang, Switzerland, on 21 November, again with both men's and women's tournaments, and the final is scheduled for 12 December in Sulgen.
