Lifetime-Trophy: Swiss cycle-ball series for former players aged 35 and over
Switzerland is holding the first edition of the Lifetime-Trophy this year, Swiss Indoor- & Unicycling reported on 17 October. The series, organised by the WEKO Radball commission, is aimed at cycle-ball players aged 35 or older who have left regular competition behind. No licence is required. Only players with a fixed place at the 2026 Swiss Championships are excluded, while holders of a substitute licence may take part.
Clubs host the tournaments and decide on the format and schedule themselves. Each team chooses how many events it enters. A tournament win is worth three points, second place two, and every other team receives one; there is no national title and no medals.
After the events on 11 September and 9 October, VC Oftringen 3 top the standings with five points. They were runners-up to Frauenfelder Radballer in the opener and then won the second tournament ahead of ATB Wettingen. Wettingen and Frauenfeld follow on three points each, and the final two tournaments are scheduled for 7 and 21 November.
Among the returning players is Guido Sidler, back after a break of more than ten years. Dave Schaller from Oftringen only took up cycle-ball through the new series. After the most recent tournament, 16 participants stayed on for a dinner together.
