German cycle-ball title decided in Sulzbach am Main
Sulzbach am Main hosts the German indoor cycling championships on Friday, 25 September, and Saturday, 26 September 2026. The Main-Spessart-Halle stages the titles in cycle-ball, cycle-polo and the artistic cycling events. Promotion matches in cycle-ball open the programme on Friday.
Michael Birkner and Robert Mlady go into the weekend as the pair to beat. According to rad-net.de, the RMC Stein duo have had a dominant season and now step into the role left by their club-mates Raphael Kopp and Bernd Mlady. Those two world champions won the German title a year ago and retired afterwards.
The field behind them is strong. Jannes Müller and Simon Becker of RV Gärtringen came out on top at the Deutschlandpokal and took bronze at the European Championships. Brothers Eric and Tim Lehmann of RSV Großkoschen are also counted among the medal contenders. The new German champions in cycle-ball will be crowned on Saturday.
