UCI Indoor Cycling Worlds 2026 will not be held in Derby

The cycle-ball and artistic cycling worlds were scheduled for 16–18 October 2026 in Derby, Great Britain. The UCI says the organiser can no longer guarantee the event and is looking for a replacement host.

In a statement released on 11 September 2026, the Union Cycliste Internationale confirmed that the championships will not go ahead in Derby as planned. The governing body explained that the local organiser is no longer in a position to ensure the event takes place. The championships decide the world titles in cycle-ball and artistic cycling.

According to the UCI, several options are now being examined in order to find both a replacement organiser and another venue. More details are to be published as soon as they are available.
