A world first in cycle-ball: the Bikeball Scout is here
Cycle-ball is the fastest ball sport on two wheels — and until today one of the few in which nobody can say, after a match day, where the opponent actually shoots. The Bikeball Scout changes that. The tool is now available on bikeball.app: cycle-ball statistics that are created at the side of the pitch and reveal, before the next match, where the opposing keeper is weak. A tool of this kind has not existed in cycle-ball before.
Recording is done with a finger while the cycle-ball match runs. Hold your finger on the goal, push the ball to where it actually went, let go — then tap goal or no goal. Corners are recorded by side and variant: low, high, direct shot or back pass. Two sheets side by side keep both teams apart, and a swipe switches between them. No paper, no setup, no installation — the phone in your hand is enough.
The entries turn into an evaluation at once. Every 4-metre appears as a dot in the goal, a heat map shows the clusters, and each area of the goal carries its scoring rate. A table compares every team in the cycle-ball tournament at a glance: shots, goals, rate, goals conceded, save rate. Field player and keeper are counted separately, because a cycle-ball keeper shoots quite differently from a field player.
The heart of it is the cheat sheet. Before the next match against a particular team, it sums up in plain sentences what the numbers mean: where their keeper saves worst, where their field player and their keeper like to aim, and which corner they prefer. Cycle-ball statistics become an instruction for training and for the next four metres. Nothing is guessed: the scout only gives advice from three shots in one area of the goal onwards. Below that it says plainly that the data is not enough yet.
The scout is built for the hall. It works without a connection — where there is no reception, everything stays on the device at first and is uploaded later. A whole cycle-ball match day can be recorded offline. A running tournament can be followed live through a link, without an account and read only: the assistant coach on the bench or half the team at home sees every entry at once. The finished evaluation can be shared as an image, ready for messages and social networks.
The Bikeball Scout is free and speaks five languages — German, English, Japanese, Czech and French, the languages of the major cycle-ball nations.
